Lounge Catering to Teens to Open on Hip Strip

There’s a new dance club opening on the Hip Strip, but instead of catering to alcohol-fueled adults, it will be catering to a younger, sober crowd.

According to KPAX News, Legacy Lounge will open later this month in the space Iza restaurant used to occupy.

One of the owners, Scotty Graham, told KPAX his motivation for opening a teen hang out is memories of his own time in Missoula as a teen and the difficulty he had finding a place to let loose where he wasn’t barred because of his age.

The owners of Legacy Lounge LLC, which was incorporated as a business in September, have moved quickly to outfit the venue with lights, audio, and artwork. They hope to create a playful, hip vibe that will be attractive to teens and adults. Their plans include clearing the space late at night and re-opening their doors to the over-21 set after midnight to give barhoppers a place to sober up before heading home.

We agree that there aren’t enough safe, fun options for the under-20 set in Missoula, and we are excited to see this lounge open for young people!
