Aspire is an independent school for grades 6-12 with a focus on experiential and self directed learning. The Makerspace is a space for community members of all ages (even adults) to dream and create. CHEMA Choir (Christian Home Educators of Missoula)
For Fall semester we will have 12 weeks of instruction including a December concert.Thursdays at the church of the Nazarene. 1:00-1:45 K-3 (5 years-8years) Fee $20/student. 1:55-3:15 3rd-12th (8 years old-18 years old.) Fee starts at $35/student but decreases the more kids you have. registration required.
Join other homeschoolers for bowling on the first Monday of every month. 12-2 at Westside Lanes. This is an event for all ages. Cost is $2 per person per game, shoes are free. registration not required
Mondays starting in January to Spring Break. Ski/Board lessons from 10-12 and then spend the rest of the afternoon skiing/boarding. $30 for ski/board rental, lift tickets, and 2 hour lesson. registration required
From their website: “Homeschool fencing meets during regular school hours and is open to fencers of all abilities. This program provides an excellent PE option, as well as providing a great venue for developing personal skills and community. Fencing increases strength, speed, and agility while reinforcing discipline, respect, and sportsmanship. [...] Classes run in 6 week segments throughout the school year and are open to both beginning and continuing students.” registration required
Missoula Teen Homeschool Outing Club
From their website: “This group is an adventure group geared towards older youth 12+. We will gather to explore, learn, hike, and try new things! We will offer family events from time to time, however the intention is for older youth to have a time to gather with peers, develop some practical skills and lead their own outdoor adventures.” registration not required
Cloverbuds 4-H
“Montana 4-H includes a special program for youth five to seven years old called Cloverbuds. Youngsters in the Cloverbud project work with other children on selected 4-H activities from a structured curriculum that is fun, hands-on and discovery-oriented.” registration required
From their website: “The ZACC is now offering a special morning art camp for Missoula’s homeschooled youth artists! Your camper can join one of our ZACC instructors for mornings of exploring structured art activities ranging from clay handbuilding to glass fusing. There are two blocks of three sessions available for fall semester. This HALF SEMESTER registration fee includes 3 morning camps: October 27th, November 17th, and December 15th.” registration required
This is not a homeschool exclusive club. However, this we try to be wonderful resource for finding activities available to families in the Missoula area. Our indoor & drop in activity guide has lots of ideas for fun activities, there is a list of different museums and historical centers to visit, and there are lots of sports/art/music and other classes listed!
