Popular Christmas Lights Go Dark in 2021

One of Missoula’s most popular holiday light displays won’t be happening this year, due to supply chain issues.

A visit to the famous “Christmas Light Show” house located at 4406 Spurgin is an annual tradition for many local families. With an rotating playlist of choreographed lights and music synced to a local radio station and special performances from characters, it is no wonder the free nightly shows are bumper to bumper parking. Unfortunately, many of the lights needed repaired or replaced this year, and like most everything, getting those orders fulfilled will be tougher than ever.

According to a Facebook post today, “Christmas Light Show Missoula” said:

“Hello Missoula!
After last years light show, we realized that we needed to re-work and replace some of the lighting for the show. We tried to order replacement lights, but due to supply chain issues, we were not able to get what we needed. We are very sorry, but we will not be able to provide a show for you this year. 😢 We wish you a happy Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year!”

Many Missoula families quickly commented offering community support and thanking them for all their hard work each year.
We sure will miss their light show on 2021, but look forward to a return in 2022!
