Popular Local Eatery Announces Closure
Before Facebook went offline yesterday, a popular local restaurant shared a vague post encouraging customers to come say goodbye for their “final day of regular service.”
The post, by Caffe Dolce, had many Missoulians wondering what “regular” service meant, and hoping that their favorite restaurant would remain open in some way, shape, or form.
A second post last night was shared stating, “Caffe Dolce has closed for regular services due to pandemic & staffing related issues.
It has been our mission to serve Missoula from our hearts, as we would guests in our home— with a belief that great food, coffee, and beer & wine, genuine service, and inspired architecture, can add to quality of life. We’ve pursued ingredients which support human health and sustainability of the planet. We hope that we may have, in some small way added richness to the lives of our community.”
They clarified in the comments that they would now only be open for private events and room rental.
But what about the other location in the mall? According to an article from the Missoulian, Caffe Dolce’s smaller spot at Southgate Mall will remain open.
