February is for fiddles!  Bring your violin, fiddle, or Hardanger fiddle and participate in a unique workshop on Norwegian folk music by acclaimed Hardanger player, Rachel Nesvig.  The evening begins with a short concert and demonstration of the "hardingfele" instrument and will be followed by a fiddle workshop in which you will be taught a few Norwegian folk tunes by ear, experiment with foot tapping techniques, and learn how the steps from Norwegian folk dances can affect the style of fiddle tunes!  Rachel will wrap up the evening with a concluding performance.

All ages who are able to learn a tune by ear and are good respectful listeners are welcome to bring their instrument and take part in the workshop!  Non-musicians are also welcome to come watch, learn, and be a supporting audience!  Tickets are $10 per person at the door, paid by check or cash.

The event begins at 6pm, so do arrive a few minutes early to get settled and tuned.  Doors will be open at 5:30pm.
