Thanksgiving 2020: Delicious Side Dishes
The best part of Thanksgiving dinner, besides the turkey of course, are the many side dish options. Don’t like green beans, no problem, there’s likely another veggie on the table that you can opt for. Not a huge fan of sweet potatoes (or yams)... the mashed potatoes are calling your name! Don’t like any of it? Well, there’s always dessert!
I’m a stickler for the traditional Thanksgiving sides like green bean casserole, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, & candied yams--all homemade, of course! I also like to add a few more options like bacon and brussels sprouts or homemade mac & cheese for the kiddos (and adults too!) Looking for a great roasted turkey recipe? You can find one here.
If you’re looking for some new sides to add to your Thanksgiving dinner, here are a few of my favorites:
Brown Sugar Carrots
Homemade Cranberry Sauce
Smoked Gouda & Sharp Cheddar Mac & Cheese (great for the kids)
Bacon & Brussels Sprouts with Pecans & Cranberries
This one is new and I’m trying it this year but looks similar to one I’ve used in the past.
