Spotlight Activity: Nerf on the Turf

Ask any kid and they will tell you how much fun Nerf battles are. Ask any parent, and they will tell you what a pain they are when they are happening in your home. Now comes a local solution that will make everyone happy: “Nerf on the Turf.”

The Missoula Indoor Soccer Arena offers packages for groups of six or more to spend up to 75 minutes battling it out on the soccer field. They set the field up with moveable inflated objects and provide Nerf guns, eye protection, more ammo than you will ever need and a list of some recommended games with rules. Plus, no more finding foam bullets in your plants or on top of your fridge six months later. They also occasionally have “family fun” evenings where the inflatapark and nerf gear is open to all.

Obviously, this makes a great birthday party for kids and teens. But it would also be a great activity for the entire family, a date night with a handful of other couples, or even a fun night out with friends. When we went, they had all the inflatables up, which made for even more fun!
