Monday, November 15:

  • 3:30pm Lego Club at the Missoula Public Library

    Lego Club is back! Build to your heart’s content every Monday afternoon. Drop by anytime from 3:30-5 PM and create fantastic Lego structures! This club meets in the Imaginarium on Level Two. https://www.missoulapubliclibrary.org/

  • 9:30am Base Camp Programs with Missoula Parks and Rec

    FALL FUN FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS Tiny Sprouts Drop-In Playtime. Get your toddler moving and making new friends while we sing songs, learn to kick and throw, and play with all kinds of soft and safe equipment. Parent participation is required. No class 11/25.
    Dates Tuesdays and Thursdays October 5 - December 16
    Time 9:30 - 10 am Ages Walking toddlers to age 3

  • 2:00pm Hands On Science: Humans and Neuroscience

    Join spectrUM for guided science activities at our Discovery Bench from 2 to 6 Tuesday through Saturday. This week's theme is humans and neuroscience. No registration required. The spectrUM Discovery Area is open for visitors of all ages to explore science through engaging exhibits and activities. spectrUM has moved into the new Missoula Public Library and is free for visitors of all ages, please join us at 455 East Main Street . http://spectrum.umt.edu/

  • 3:45 After School Art Adventure with the Missoula Art Museum *Registration required

    November 9 through December 14 // Tuesdays from 3:45 to 5:15 PM // Ages 6 to 11 // $70 for members, $63 for nonmembers
    Create artwork inspired by MAM exhibitions! Includes a short tour and a series of projects including drawing, painting, printmaking, and 3-D exploration.
    Sanitizing and deep-cleaning measures will be implemented before and after each session. Masks are required for all participants. MAM staff members and teaching artists will wear face coverings while in the building. Each six-week series is limited to 12 students.

  • 1:00 Online Bug Encounters: Giving Thanks for Pollinators Part I

    Thanksgiving is a little less two weeks away, so what better time to give thanks to the food producers—the pollinators. Pull up a chair to hear some amazing stories, including how some pinhead-sized insects make chocolate possible. Join us every Wednesday at 1:00pm for our Facebook livestream! Thursday, November 18:

  • 9:30am Stroller Strides at Toole Park

    Stroller Strides® is a functional, total-body conditioning workout designed for moms with kids in tow. Each 60-minute workout is comprised of strength training, cardio and core restoration, all while entertaining little ones with songs, activities and fun! Each Stroller Strides instructor is skilled to meet you where you are mentally and physically. You’ll leave class feeling connected, successful and energized! No more mama guilt!   • 10:00AM MiniNaturalists with the Montana Natural History Center: Dates: Every Thursday, September – May
    Time: 10:00-11:00 am Cost: Free with cost of admission (and free for members!)
    Location: Montana Natural History Center, 120 Hickory Street
    We are currently holding this program outdoors only in our Nature Adventure Garden on the east side of the building. The miniNaturalist program encourages curiosity for the natural world through exploration and play. We sing songs, read books, play games, and develop skills with art and science tools. Each program begins with songs, movement, and stories. We then provide materials for learner directed discovery in our garden. We look for bugs and birds, color on rocks, build with branches, experiment with science tools and play with a variety of art materials. Best for ages 2-4 though any age is welcome!

  • 10:30 Tiny Tales at the Missoula Public Library

    Tiny Tales uses sounds, rhythms, and movement to help your child learn to read! Participants will sing songs, learn finger-plays and nursery rhymes, and hear stories. Tiny Tales will be recorded and posted online at a later date on the library’s official website and YouTube channel. Tiny Tales is presented by various Youth Services staff every Thursday and Friday at 10:30 AM in the Level Two Imaginarium.

Friday, November 19:

  • 10:30 Preschool Play Group at Roots Acro Sports

    For children walking through 5 years—Preschool Playtime is a favorite for kids and parents alike. For playtime, our gym becomes your playground. We set up fun stations and activities throughout the gym. Parents and children choose the activities that interest them most, including obstacle courses, pit games, trampoline time, swinging, sliding, and climbing. Every time you come it's a new fitness adventure. $10 per child/ $15 for Siblings Punch Card: $50 (for $60 in Punches)

  • 3:00pm spectrUM Discovery Area Big Night Open House

    Each year, Big Night brings together our community to raise money for spectrUM's Science for All Fund, which helps ensure that every child in our community can access inspirational role models and hands-on STEM experiences. Our online silent auction begins November 12 and ends November 19th at 5:30pm. Join us for our open house today on the 4th floor of the Missoula Public Library from 3 to 6pm to celebrate science, community and giving. Our open house includes a happy hour, live science demos, silent auction, and a raffle. More info here…

  • 6:00pm Beginner Hula Hoop Workshop *Registration required

    Beginner Hula Hoop Workshop! Taught by Erin Eliz (@ArtofNonAdulting) and Jordyn, thru Missoula Parks & Rec! 2 Hour Intro to Hula Hooping Class. $10 per student. Children are welcome, if their parent/adult is enrolled in the class, too. We will provide hoops. Come have fun and learn new skills. Register here…

  • 1:00pm Saturday Kids' Activity: Track Detectives at the Montana Natural History Center

    Drop in any time between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. for a hands-on kids’ activity. November 6 & 20: Track Detectives Join us to learn more about animal tracks. We will put on our detective hats as we look for tracks and learn how to identify them! Cost: Free with membership / cost of admission. Check it out here.

  • 3:00pm Teen D&D Guild at the Missoula Public Library

    Are you stuck at home, yearning to satisfy your appetite for adventure? MPL offers Dungeons & Dragons online for teens aged 12-17. Beginners are welcome! Limited to 8 participants per session.
