406 Families - A Re-Introduction
It’s always fun to reflect on where it all began, and we’re grateful Missoula Real Estate Today gave us a chance to do just that when we went on their radio show earlier this month.
If you’re new here, we are Laci, Charity, and Tiffany — three Missoula-area moms who were looking for a resource guide to raising kids in Missoula. We couldn’t find exactly what we were looking for — a place to find events and activities, research kids’ health care providers, search summer camps, and read a lifestyle-type blog about topics and current events relevant to Western Montana. So we decided to create one ourselves.
Since then we’ve hit PUBLISH on 412 blog posts, told you about hundreds community events, created a Summer Camp Guide with dozens of Summer Camps listed, helping countless parents organize their summer, and grew our social media audience to about 3,800.

And now we are looking forward to our first ever community event.
The 406 Families Summer Camp Guide & Expo on March 11 at the Missoula Public Library will give hundreds of families the chance to connect with summer camp organizations face-to-face. We’re lucky to get to partner with Families First Learning Lab because their mission to strengthen Missoula families through education and play aligns with our own.
We’re expecting a crowd, so if you’re a business that hosts summer camps, get in touch right away so you can be up close and personal with the kids you’ll lead this summer. We might run out of space!
Want a piece of what I’ve just described? We couldn’t do what we do without the help of friends. We have a couple of ways to draw attention to your business while supporting the work we do — through sponsorship and advertising. Becoming a supporter ensures we’ll be able to continue bringing you family-themed content and events in the future.
If you’re not a business but still want to support us, the best way is by helping us grow our social media. Share our Facebook page or Instagram handle with friends, link to our articles, and include our posts in your stories. That helps us continue to connect with people like you.
