This is a one-hour open gym time for kids walking to 12 years of age. You and your child will get to explore our facility in a supervised atmosphere. Come play in our gym, which features foam pits, trampolines, obstacle courses and so much more.
Preregistration on our website is necessary to participate each day.

Preschool Playtime is a favorite for kids and parents alike. For playtime, our gym becomes your playground. We set up fun stations and activities throughout the gym. Parents and children choose the activities that interest them most, including obstacle courses, pit games, trampoline time, swinging, sliding, and climbing. Every time you come it's a new fitness adventure.

We are a hands-on learning center located at Missoula Food Bank & Community Center dedicated to nourishing the bodies and minds of local children and families. Rich with science exhibits from spectrUM, literacy and STEM programming, and books from the Missoula Public Library for children, young adults, and parents, EmPower Place offers enriching experiences free of charge to all Missoula families.
10:30AM Tiny Tales and Story Time at the Public Library

Tiny Tales uses sounds, rhythms, and movement to help your child learn to read! Participants will sing songs, learn finger-plays and nursery rhymes, and hear stories. Tiny Tales will be recorded and posted online at a later date on the library’s official website and YouTube channel. Tiny Tales is presented by various Youth Services staff every Thursday and Friday at 10:30 AM in the Level Two Imaginarium.
2:30PM Free Ice Skating at Glacier Ice Rink
To celebrate what Missoula Gives does for our nonprofit community, we are offering FREE ice skating on Friday, May 6 from 2:30 to 4 pm.
No advance registration is required - simply drop in and the skating is on us! See less

National event celebrating graphic literature featuring special comic books from modern publishers like Marvel & DC printed just for F.C.B.D! Comic books will be available for readers of All Ages, Teen , and Mature. Local comic books creators will be showcasing new works and signing autographs! Free comic books available while supplies last. Line to enter is located outside, please prepare for changing weather conditions while waiting.

The Big Sky Horse Park and the Missoula Horse Council welcomes all dog owners to the inaugural Pet Run on May 7th, 2022! We welcome you, your dog, your friends, family and neighbors to a fun filled day of racing, prizes, vendors, and pet portraits at the Big Sky Horse Park in Missoula, MT. This is a competitive, timed running event limited to 1 dog per human. This year walkers and runners with their leashed companions will complete 3 km or 6 km (1 or 2 laps) on fine crushed gravel within the boundaries of the Big Sky Horse Park.

12:30 Teen Open Studio at Missoula Art Museum

The classroom at MAM is stocked with materials for middle and high school students to use for completing art assignments from school or simply to create projects of their own. A MAM staff member and college intern will be on site for each session. No RSVP required—drop in when you can! Limited to 12 students and COVID protocols are in place.
1:00PM Stop Animation for Kids with MCAT

Stop Animation Workshop is suitable for kids around the ages of 9 to 13. Kids will work with cameras, animation software and green screen special effects. This activity is great for kids who want the choice of working on their own, or in groups to do live action skits, music and voice-overs. The free workshop goes from 1pm to 3pm. This event is every Saturday at 1pm through June 25, 2022.

Join FWP a Council Grove State Park with non-game biologist Torrey Ritter. Learn about the important role Great Horned Owls play within our local ecosystem. Spot owls onsite and learn how to bird safely and responsibly. FWP will provide binoculars for participants but feel free to bring your own!

Are you stuck at home, yearning to satisfy your appetite for adventure? Great news, our Teen D&D Guild is meeting online! MPL offers Dungeons & Dragons for teens aged 12-17. Beginners are welcome! Limited to 8 participants per session. Teen games will be held every other Saturday from 3-5 PM on Zoom. These games are ongoing. Celebrate Mother’s Day with RE Events! Starting and finishing at Caras Park, bring out the whole family for a 5k dedicated to commemorating moms. The course starts and ends in the heart of Missoula’s downtown and meanders along the river with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. After the race, enjoy a finisher’s flower and festivities in the newly renovated Caras Park

In this case, the world is under the sea and the most unusual hero is a sea sponge…known simply as SpongeBob SquarePants.
