WHILE REMAINING SAFE AMIDST THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IS STILL A PRIORITY, MANY LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ORGANIZATIONS ARE BEGINNING TO HOST EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES AROUND TOWN. WE ARE EXCITED TO SHARE THOSE EVENTS WITH YOU, HERE’S WHAT’S COMING UP:

Monday, July 19:

  • 5:30pm - 9:00pm Annual Garden City Harvest Farm Party

    The 25th Annual Garden City Harvest Farm Party is presented by The Good Food Store and First Security Bank.

    The Farm Party celebrates locally grown food and community connections. This year more than ever, we have plenty to celebrate. It's our 25th anniversary, and after a year of isolation, let's come together in the PEAS Farm fields to eat, drink, and dance under the summer moon. Admission is $15. Kids 12 and under are free. Everyone (kids and adults) need a ticket to enter. Please include tickets for those 12 and under. Tickets include live music, farm tours/tastings, and a delicious view! Food trucks and tasty beverages (alcohol and non-alcohol), are available for an additional cost (that goes to local businesses, growers, and Garden City Harvest's work growing food with and or 20,000 Missoulians).

Tuesday, July 20:

  • 2:00pm Hands On Science-Palooza at SpectrUM Discovery Area

    Join spectrUM for guided science activities at our Discovery Bench from 2 to 6 Tuesday through Saturday. This week we're exploring all kinds of science, technology, engineering and math experiments. No registration required.
    The spectrUM Discovery Area is open for visitors of all ages to explore science through engaging exhibits and activities. spectrUM has moved into the new Missoula Public Library and will be free for visitors of all ages, please join us at 455 East Main Street .

Wednesday, July 21:

  • 1:00pm Online Bug Encounters: Aquatic Insects—Dragonflies and Damselflies by the Missoula Butterfly House and Insectarium

    Bug Wrangler Brenna will be examining one of nature's most effective groups of predators -- the Odonates! Dragonflies and damselflies are universally admired for their aerial hunting acrobatics, but their tactics during their aquatic stage are equally impressive. Join us to learn more!

  • 3:30pm - 5:00pm Middle School Writers Group at the Missoula Public Library

    For writers and would-be writers. We share our original stories, poems, novels; give and receive feedback; and do fun writing activities. It's all about creation and imagination! Members will meet live on Zoom every Wednesday. If you are interested in joining us please email Dana at danam@missoula.lib.mt.us. 3:30-5:00 PM

  • 10:30am Story Time at the Missoula Public Library

    Story Time is for children ages 3 and older and their caregivers. Join us for stories and fun in the Level Two Programming Room at the new library. Story Time will be recorded and posted online at a later date on the library’s official website and YouTube channel. The Theme for this week’s Story Time is Gone Fishin.’ 10:30 AM

  • 4:00pm The Wiz of the West at the Missoula Children’s Theatre

    The Missoula Children's Theatre presents The Wiz of the West, the classic story The Wizard of Oz, but with a twist... or should we say, twister?! Follow Tinhorn, Lionel, Scared Crow, Dotty and, of course, her little dog Mooch through a saga of Western adventure and personal discovery.

  • 7:30pm Much Ado About Nothing performance at the Zootown Arts Community Center

    From the hilarious creative team behind A Literal Garbage Fire and Sold Out! The Staged Reading: A New Play By Jay Buchanan comes an adaptation of William Shakespeare's funniest take on Italian romance, Much Ado About Nothing.

Saturday, July 24:

  • 10:00am Kids Class Boho Rainbow at Painting with a Twist

  • 6:00pm—8:30pm FREE Kids Night at Splash Montana thanks to the Missoula Firefighters Benevolent Fund, Missoula Local IAFF 271, and Five Valleys Restoration!

  • 9:15pm Missoula Outdoor Cinema: Jurassic Park at Headstart Playground

    Missoula Outdoor Cinema is an outdoor film event in the Northside neighborhood brought to you by the North-Missoula CDC! In 2021, movies run every Saturday evening from July 10th - August 14th. Films are shown in the Head Start playground (1001 Worden Ave).
