1:00pm Online Bug Encounters: Black Widows
Easily recognized by their hourglass marking, black widows are the only spiders in Montana with venom harmful to humans. Even so, bites are very rare. Get to know these boldly marked beauties with Bug Wrangler Brenna.

12:00pm Community Cooking at the Missoula Public Library: Tomatillo Salsa
Do you want some creative ideas to spice up your home cooking? Maybe you need some new ideas for how to use all that end-of-summer produce? Join us each month for a seasonally inspired food or meal demonstration with Kelly Moore, Missoula Co./MSU Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences. One topic will be covered monthly, presented on the first Thursday each month at noon and again on the second Tuesday at 6pm in our demonstration kitchen (third floor). September’s class will cover how to make a delicious tomatillo salsa. 12:00-1:00 PM

Resiliency of Montana: Indigenous Art Exposure A two day collaborative and educational event that intersects Montana tribal artists and Indigenous relatives at the ZACC! Gallery Opening from 5-8 PM Featuring art by Carlin Bear Don’t Walk, Monica Gilles-Brings Yellow, Two Eagle River School, and Evani Spencer, Indigenous Art Market featuring local Indigenous Artists: Beacreations, Jesse and Tillie Derosier, Dancing Butterfly Designs and Native Bling, Evening Designs, Antelope Woman Designs, Buffalo Bridge Designs and Thunderwoman Designs, NomadCulture 406, Plains Soul, Sweet Sage Woman, and music by Teague Goodvoice ZACC SHOW ROOM 7-9 PM: Readings by Chris La Tray and Heather Cahoon, Music performances by Crybaby and Foreshadow

Fashion Show Emceed by Dr. Brad Hall and Dr. Annie Belcourt featuring Indigenous members from the community to showcase their heritage in both traditional and contemporary fashion. Also featuring clothes by local designer, Sweet Sage Woman. This event is sponsored by United Way of Missoula County!
Saturday, September 4:
3:00pm-5:00pm Teen D&D Guild
Are you stuck at home, yearning to satisfy your appetite for adventure? Great news, our Teen D&D Guild now meets both online and in person at your Missoula Public Library! MPL offers Dungeons & Dragons for teens aged 12-17. Beginners are welcome! Limited to 8 participants per session. Teen games will be held every other Saturday from 3-5 PM in the Ellingson Room on level 3. These games are ongoing.
