Around Town: 4th of July Weekend 2022
Summer is in full swing and there is plenty to do around Missoula! Below are a few events sure to check things off your bucket list.
Friday, July 1:
12:00PM Arlee Pow Wow (event is July 1-July 4)
Arlee Pow Wow Grounds
2022 marks the 122nd Arlee Celebration. It is the premier annual celebration of the Salish and Pend d'Oreille tribes, sponsored by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribal Nation. The Powwow includes drumming, singing and dancing contests, gambling, food, arts and crafts, and a big July 4 parade.
4:00PM Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs at MCT

The Missoula Children’s Theatre presents SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DWARFS, an original adaptation of the classic fairy tale. A young princess named Show White finds herself in peril when her step-mother, the Queen, is told by her Magic Mirror that the princess is fairer than she! Aided by her two Henchmen and a band of evil Bats, the Queen plots to get rid of Snow White.

Missoula's original artist market! Local & Handmade since 1998. Located on W. Pine & Higgins Ave.
The Missoula People's market features local and regional artists selling there hand-made items every Saturday (May-September) and located on Pine Street in beautiful downtown Missoula, just off Higgins Avenue.

10:30AM Story Time: Story Time is for children ages 3 and older and their caregivers. Join us on Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30 AM for stories and fun in the Art Box on level two. Story Time will be recorded and posted online at a later date on the library’s official website and YouTube channel.
2:00PM Hands On Science Forensics at SpectrUM: Join spectrUM for guided science activities at our Discovery Bench from 2 to 6 Tuesday through Saturday. This week we are learning about forensics. No registration required.
3:00PM D&D Guild for Teens: MPL offers Dungeons & Dragons for teens aged 12-17. Beginners are welcome! Limited to 8 participants per session. Teen games will be held every other Saturday from 3-5 PM on Zoom.

2:00PM The Jack’s July 4th Celebration
7000 Graves Creek Rd - Lolo, MT
The Jack's July 4th celebration is a day early. We'll have a bouncy boxing ring, robo-surf board, and bungee run that will be great fun for kids and adults. Face painting for the kids. $1 hot dogs and $2 hamburgers will be cooked on the patio. Our full menu will also be available. Crazy Mountain Billies will perform psychedelic bluegrass/folk music from the mountains.

Join the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula for the 46th Annual 4th at the Fort Celebration! After a smaller event last year, we are bringing this event back full force. This old-fashioned, family-friendly event has something for everyone. Activities include: Live Music: Smith and McKay All Day, Sasha Bell Band, and Basses Covered, Old-fashioned children's games, Food trucks & cold beer, Historic steam-run sawmill demos, Antique engine displays, Activity Booths hosted by various groups, Art and Craft vendors, Miniature ponies, Model Railroad displays, Wagon Rides. Admission is by donation.

The 38th Annual Arlee Open Rodeo will be held on Monday, July 4th, 2022 in Arlee, Montana. This Arlee rodeo is held at Pow Wow Grounds.
