2019: Local Gifts We Love
We’ve shared our local gifts for little ones, now for everyone else on your list. For all your Montana-Made shopping, we’ve rounded up something that is sure to fit the bill for even the hardest person to shop for.
Joyful Juniper Creative: Catherine has an amazing talent for hand lettering. She even hand lettered our logo! Adorable personalized Christmas ornaments make a great keepsake, but she has gifts for year round. Choose from some of her pre-designed artwork, stickers, mugs and more on Etsy site OR contact her for a custom piece.
Dig and Co’s Camp Director Seasoning Blend: This wildly popular spice blend is homemade and goes great on chicken, fish, veggies, pasta, and more. Plus it is 100% organic. A great holiday gift for the wannabe chef in your life. Dig and Co. has lots of other great gift inspiration on their website (hello camp blanket), but we love this seasoning as an affordable and versatile gift for anyone. Order online at www.digandco.com and use promo code “Local” for free local delivery. This week the spice blend actually sold out! We still think you should know about it, because once it is back in stock, you will want it on your shelves too. But if you need a gift in time for Christmas, visit Dig & Co’s website for gift bundles which include great homemade gifts for bakers, adventurers, kids and more!
Medicine Springs Bath Soaks: With formulas for skin care, joint pain and more, who wouldn’t want to turn their bathtub into an at-home hot spring? They even have ones that can treat your entire hot tub for up to 90 days. Our favorite is the skin formula, which even helps eczema and psoriasis, but you really can’t go wrong with any of them! Buy it locally at Rockin’ Rudy’s or on their website here.
Lake Missoula Tea Company: There’s nothing like a hot cup of tea on a chilly winter morning? While we are partial to the peppermint, lavender and lemon blend of “A Few of My Favorite Things” and the antioxidants found in the tart “Blood Orange Rooibos”, we highly recommend giving Lake Missoula Tea Company a call or stopping for their downtown tea shop for a personalized recommendation, plus all the accessories your recipient will need to get steepin. Stop by their store at 136 E. Broadway or order online here.
The Good Stuff Botanical’s Gypsy Cream: Made by a husband and wife duo in Big Fork, they have lots of wonderful products (check out facial oil cleanser “Oil Change” and their “Montana Mud Scrub”). But the one that takes the cake is their miracle working “Gypsy Cream.” It has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and emollient properties making it a life saver for diaper rash, cracked hands, and everything in between. Available locally at Lucky’s Market, Rosauers, Good Food Store, Orange Street Food Farm and more OR through their website or on Amazon (it’s a few dollars more from Amazon, but if your last minute like us, 2 day shipping may be worth it, plus we may get a small commission.)
Big Sky Barkery: Who could forget our four-legged friends? These homemade dog and cat treats are “lab tested, chihuahua approved” (get it?). We love them because they are great for pets with food sensitivities and have all natural ingredients! During the summer months, treats are available at the Clark Fork Market, but you can message them year round for your own “Barker’s Dozen” or find out about their custom “PupCakes” and more here.
Full Bushel Farm: Aimee not only grows and assembles beautiful floral arrangements (both fresh and dried), she has the most wonderful homemade goodies. We are super excited about her Magnesium Spray which is great for sore muscles and promotes better sleep or make it easy on yourself and go with one of her gift sets which include some fan favorites like the Detox Mask, Rosehip Face Oil, and Bath Soaks. Order online here or follow her on facebook and find her at an upcoming market or craft fair!
