Spring Break Camps
Only one week until spring break, but fear not… there are plenty of camps happening to help wear your kids out! Thanks to Alecia Gray for sending us a list of available camps!
AR Stables
Ages: 7 and up
Duration: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Cost: $350
About: Each child is assigned a horse to take care of and ride for the week. No experience required, and we get plenty of riders with no prior experience. Beginners will start with the basics of walking and steering, and our more advanced riders will continue their equine education.
Missoula Parks and Recreation
Ages: 5-12
Duration: 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Cost: $42 per day/$35 with City Card
About: Parents love our low participant-to-staff ratios and enthusiastic camp leaders. Kids love the field trips, outdoor adventures, arts and crafts, and games. Fee includes all field trips and equipment.
MCAT
Ages: 9-14
Duration: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (dropoff begins at 8:30)
Cost: $150
About: MCAT has the tools kids need to make short films and other fun projects ranging from Stop Animation, Video Making/Editing, Broadcast and Live Streaming, Fun and Games Geared towards the joy on making movies, and more.
Missoula Children’s Theatre
Ages: K-12
Duration: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday

About: Students go from audition to performance in just one week! WAITLIST only.
Montana Natural History Center
Ages: 7-11
Duration: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Cost: $50, $45 for MNHC members, per day
About: Each day will be led by MNHC’s professional teaching naturalists, and will feature different hands-on nature explorations, field trips, creative activities, and time for free play in nature. We will take hikes, explore local natural areas, use naturalist tools, and follow our curiosity as we learn about local plants, animals, rocks, and more! Content will be different each day, so you can sign up for just one day or all five.
Roots Acro Sports
Ages: 4 and up
Duration: 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Cost: $225 for entire week, $6 per use for before care.
About: Includes gymnastics instruction, trampoline, movement games, activities, themed challenges, arts & crafts and more.
Roxy Film Academy
Ages: 8+
Duration: 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Cost: $175
About: Campers will write, film, act in and edit a science documentary based on Wild Montana Animals. They will learn about storytelling, wildlife biology, and technical aspects of filmmaking while making their own creative documentary. Campers will screen their final film not only at the end of the week, but again at the International Wildlife Film Festival in April.
YMCA School’s Out Day Camp
Ages: K-5th Grade
Duration: 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (extended care available)
Cost: From $49/day
About: School's Out Day Camp is a great way for children in grades K through 5th with working parents to have fun on school holidays. School's Out Day Camp at the Y is loaded with supervised activities such as field trips, arts and crafts, rock climbing, swimming and much more.
ZACC: Wild Walk Costume Making
Ages: 6-12
Duration: 9 a.m. to noon
Cost: $125
About: In this half-day Spring break camp we will make costumes for the International Wildlife Film Festival’s Wild Walk Parade. Learn the art of mask-making and costume assembly. Campers will either make their own costume or participate in constructing a large scale costume to be carried by the group in the Wild Walk Parade!
